A New-School Science Mash-Up coming soon to a screen near you! FabLab is a first-ever multimedia, national 52 week series designed to be a true fire starter igniting the interest of middle school and high school girls into the many disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). FabLab is a groundbreaking initiative; reaching girls and their parents by communicating stories and messaging that highlight “how science makes the world a better place”. Our goal is simple; to empower and inspire girls to think beyond the realm of what's been done , and innovate possibilities and solutions anew. FabLab is a globally inclusive approach to creating mass cultural change by harnessing the power of traditional broadcast media, and blending it with new media content through the FabLab Digital Network. Occupying both new and traditional channels of communication FabLab has been constructed to extend beyond a passive viewing experience, harmonizing and synthesizing national network and digital media content to drive not only viewership, but measurable audience interaction and engagement beyond the screen. We are working in partnership with some of the most reputable organizations in the STEM industry, including 15 Not-for-Profit partners who have signed on to guide our efforts and advise us on topics and messaging to ensure that all of our scientific information is accurate and communicated in a way that is encouraging to girls.
