Farnest Engineering is sinds 1972 actief als, in eerste instantie monodisciplinair (werktuigkundig) en primair gericht op de Corus activiteiten ingenieursbureau en later m.i.v. 1995 een multidisciplinair ingenieursbureau. De activiteiten in de beginperiode hadden hoofdzakelijk betrekking op de machine- en apparatenbouw. De apparaten, installaties en machines die Farnest in die tijd ontwikkelde, zijn in verschillende sectoren van de Nederlandse industrie toegepast. De activiteiten zijn in de loop der tijd aangevuld met projecten in vele andere industrietakken en in zowel binnen- als buitenland.
Per 1 augustus 2002 is Farnest Engineering overgegaan in handen van Imtech NV. Helaas ging Imtech per 28-08-2015 failliet en ging daarmee ook Farnest Engineering ten onder.
De voormalige vestigingsdirecteur, genaamd Dennis Brand, die inmiddels ruim 6 jaar werkzaam was als vestigingsdirecteur en vervolgens als regio directeur bij Tebodin Consultants- en Engineers, vind het bijzonder jammer dat er door het voorgaande een einde komt aan het bedrijf Farnest Engineering.
Dennis besluit de handschoen van het ondernemerschap weer op te pakken en opnieuw Farnest Engineering BV op te starten als onafhankelijk en multidisciplinair ingenieursbureau per juli 2017.
Daar de markt in Nederland inmiddels behoorlijk competitief is geworden sluit hij een partnership met een bevriend ingenieursbureau genaamd ESC in Turkije, waarmee zij samen in staat zijn om engineering- en consultancy diensten aan te bieden naar de markt.
De beide bedrijven zijn complementair en kennen elkaar vanuit het gemeenschappelijke Imtech verleden.
Daarnaast kunnen wij projectmanagement aanbieden- en totaalprojecten realiseren in de engineeringsbranche voor diverse marktsegmenten.
