Feedback Feeds is a guest satisfaction monitoring program for Metro Vancouver’s restaurants. It provides restaurant management with affordable, objective, and easy to understand monthly reports, illustrating satisfaction levels with the quality of food, quality of service, value for money, and other dimensions of the dining experience. Additionally, each report provides industry benchmarks, based on data collected from all participating restaurants, offering context, and allowing for comparison between restaurants by type, location, and price range. Feedback Feeds obtains the data needed to compile the reports from the guests of participating restaurants, who complete a brief, user‐friendly, paper or web survey to express their opinions. The unique way in which Feedback Feeds delivers high survey participation rates is appeal to the restaurant guests’ altruism by giving them the knowledge that by providing feedback on their dining experience they will also be helping to feed those in their community who depend on support of Food Banks, as, all restaurants participating in Feedback Feeds donate funds in support of fighting hunger.
