The FEI SF Bay Area ("FEI SFBA") chapter provides senior finance executives in the greater San Francisco, East Bay, North Bay, and just South of SF regions access to many events throughout the year to be able to share best practices, benefit from education on relevant topics and issues, and network with other senior finance professionals. Many events offer CPE credits.
In 2019, we were honored to win the FEI 2018-2019 Innovation Award for the chapter’s CFO Bootcamp program. The Innovation Award recognizes one chapter that has shown evidence of creative, out-of-the-box thinking and actions in a particular fiscal year.
We have continued to be innovative with our programs and offerings – including introducing new programs and initiatives when COVID-19 hit. The chapter:
- Significantly expanded our virtual-programming and content
- Introduced our Local Pods program which brought in-person networking closer to our members’ homes and/or offices - with events held not only in San Francisco, but in the East Bay, just South of SF, and the North Bay
- Converted our CFO Bootcamp program to an on-line offering twice a year which has included participating CFOs, controllers, VPs of Finance, and other senior finance executives from all over the country
- Introduced Member Link, a virtual networking program
- Continued to support our members and the wider financial community with our Career Services Group, which provides resources and networking for executives who are in transition. As of Summer 2024, we are exploring the formation of other focused or Special Interest Groups ("SIGs"), including restarting our Women in Finance SIG.
