ABOUT ME
I am FlexDerek, with coaching experience since 2009.
My passion for sports began in the 90s. At that time, I watched action movies with Arnold, such as “RAMBO” and others, and with Van Damme, like “Legionnaire” and “When there is nowhere to run” repeatedly on video cassette players.
Motivated by the heroes of these films, I spent a lot of time on a pull-up bar installed by my father in the door frame. Even back then, and still now, I really enjoy doing push-ups and other strength exercises. At the age of 9, I had calluses on my hands from the pull-up bar as if I were laying asphalt.
Then, at the age of 17, I entered Vinnitsa State Pedagogical University without exams (based on my achievements in school sports) in the Faculty of “Physical Education.” I continued to engage in weightlifting in the gym but always avoided stretching.
It happened that I met my coach in May 2009, and before that, I had never practiced stretching at all. Just five months later, in September 2009, I founded FlexDerekSchool, where I currently teach stretching and body flexibility development.
Since then, I have been training individuals with safe and effective programs like “Stretching Upon Meeting” and “Stretching Online“—personalized training sessions that I adapt to the needs and abilities of each student. This helps ensure maximum effectiveness, comfort, and safety during workouts.
