Since the early 2000s, under the leadership of its president Marc Féraud, FÉRAUD CFM ENTREPRISES has been actively involved in the promotion of contemporary art in Marseille. To this end, the association counted “Mécènes du Sud” among its seven founding members in 2003.
In 2009, the Féraud family began to play a greater role in this endeavor when it created M—ARCO, one of the first endowment funds in France, of which Féraud and CFM ENTREPRISES are the main supporters.
In 2011, the foundation began exhibiting the work of major artists, offering free and open admission, in order to present and support the creation of French and international contemporary art.
Each of the monographic exhibits is accompanied by a catalog in the collection Le cahier du Box, featuring an original collection that is assembled to relate to the artist’s work, mainly to the pieces on display in the exhibits.
Through this approach to exhibiting current and multiple pieces in Marseille, pieces which are linked to a specific time and place, we hope to shed light on some of the emotions and questions that can arise through the expression of art.
