German born and bred, Manuel is a trained and practising architect and interior designer with a strong Bauhaus influence, who gathered experience in diverse creative disciplines; while Colin is a qualified furniture & interior designer and trained cabinet maker running his own company Special Things Furniture specialised in custom made furniture.
Working in a team, discussing ideas and merging different skillsets is key for the successful design philosophy of formacy. Combining fresh design ideas with a hands-on approach whilst pushing the boundaries of the ordinary results in products that are a combination of a high design quality, practicability, playfulness and excellent craftsmanship.
