FI, dat in 2013 begon als een voetbal-YouTubekanaal onder de naam FreeKickSkills, opgericht door de broers Niño en Kristan, groeide al snel uit tot een van de populairste voetbalpagina’s op YouTube, Instagram en Facebook in de Benelux. Al snel volgden samenwerkingen met de meest invloedrijke sportmerken: Nike, adidas, PUMA, maar ook Umbro, New Balance, A-Z (Zlatan Ibrahimović), Dry World, Concave, Storelli, Unisport, Aktiesport, Voetbalshop, enzovoort. Hierdoor kreeg FI de mogelijkheid om uit te groeien tot een online influencer-marketingbedrijf, waar merken hun nieuwste producten konden presenteren aan een groot publiek via video- en fotocontent op de sociale mediakanalen van FI.
FI stond aanvankelijk onder contract bij Mediakraft Networks en Athletia Sports, en werd vervolgens exclusief onderdeel van Talpa Social (Social1fluencers).
