I founded Frontgate Limited with one goal in mind. Sharing a method of Process Modelling that changed so much of my life.
I had been naively making up process models since I started in the project world but full disclosure were more fancy (and coloured) diagrams than rarely delivered .
Then one day I was recruited into an Operational Architecture team where I was quickly humbled by a way of process modelling that made complete sense to me. It took all the aspect that everyone gets wrong and delivers them in such a brilliant yet simple way - the strangest thing? ...no one was doing it.
I went from being relatively unknown (and underpaid) Business Analyst to someone who was in demand for the insights and knowledge. Using this process model method I was invited to tables that I didn't know my name before. Why? Because I could provide details and insights over new initiatives the company wanted to make.
Our first project was a huge FIRST TO MARKET solution where we needed to prove a process could work before committing. I was also able to highlight risks, benefits and missed opportunities that no one was even aware of.
I started getting noticed and being involved in influential projects and my opinion was welcomed. My pay grade was aligned to the type of value I was bringing
The best part I no longer needed to do the project donkey work that I'd been used to because my time was worth more bringing the insights. I was adding so much value I became an advisory rather than a doer of the donkey work.
I have, and continue to use this method today in large global projects all the way down to everyday refinement of everyday problems and it delivered 100% of the time.
I know most people go the BPMN route, preferring a market standard, but the reality is FAILS to DELIVER and confuses people.
What I experienced throughout my career is that a simple and easy solution which everyone can understand within 2 mins is needed and that's what my method does.
