The Swedish Association of Technical Communicators (FTI) is a non-profit organization for professional technical communicators and technical communicator businesses. The association wants to promote activities, disseminating information about the professional role and its importance, and shall work for a good Swedish, technical language is developed and maintained. The association serves as a network for technical communicators and is a forum for exchange of experiences. FTI events include meetings with seminars, demonstrations and opportunities for networking. FTI has been covering developments in technology information since 1964. The technical development of our work tools has naturally affected the themes compound treated over the years. But we have also emphasized the information function, what is the quality of information and methods to make the information easy to use. Föreningen Teknisk Information (FTI) är en intresseorganisation för professionella teknikinformatörer och teknikinformatörsföretag. Föreningen vill främja teknikinformatörers verksamhet, sprida upplysning om yrkesrollen och dess betydelse, samt verka för att ett gott svenskt, tekniskt språk utvecklas. Föreningen fungerar som ett kontaktnät för teknikinformatörer och är ett forum för utbyte av erfarenheter. FTI arrangerar bland annat höst- och vårmöten med seminarier, demonstrationer och möjlighet till nätverkande. FTI har bevakat utvecklingen inom teknikinformation sedan 1964. Den tekniska utvecklingen av våra arbetshjälpmedel har naturligtvis påverkat de teman som föreningen behandlat genom åren.
