As a Muslim majority country, there are so many people from different backgrounds in Indonesia (i.e. engineer, nurse, doctor) who want to learn Arabic. Alhamdulillah, there are many Arabic courses, available both offline and online. However, we found that the classes are generally not as efficient as they could potentially be. Through our observation, there are various problems about Arabic learning in Indonesia, such as the curriculum, teachers’ training which translates to the quality of teachers, the teaching method, and so on. As time goes by, there is a trend whereby many students drop out of classes because they found learning Arabic difficult. Women especially are subjected to this trend, as most of the Arabic teachers are men and they perhaps find themselves unable to relate to the teacher, felt shy to ask questions or experienced unease and discomfort in learning. In view of this, there is a dire need for good female Arabic teachers in Indonesia. We believe that learning Arabic is the right of every Muslim. Our founder her self came from a public school and unlike others, she did not learn Arabic at an Islamic boarding school, but, Alhamdulillah, Allah has given her mercy to understand Arabic from one teacher to another. We have been teaching online basic Arabic since 2020 and our students have provided feedback that we are very good at delivering lessons as our explanation can be understood easily.
