Onder grote belangstelling werd op maandag 28 april 2003 de nieuwe zaalvoetbalvereniging Futsal Winsum opgericht.
Futsal Winsum komt voort uit het samenvoegen van de futsalafdelingen van de plaatselijke veldvoetbalverenigingen Hunsingo en Viboa. Inmiddels zijn we al vele kampioenschappen en andere successen verder. De vereniging kenmerkt zich door ambitie goed te combineren met gezelligheid. Zo spelen de eerste teams van zowel de heren als de dames op een hoog niveau waarbij grote afstanden moeten worden overbrugt. Qua gezelligheid is de kantine altijd op vrijdag goed gevuld en worden er jaarlijks leuke activiteiten georganiseerd zoals een mix-toernooi, een coach-spel, een jaarafsluiting en diverse andere activiteiten.
Op dit moment is Futsal Winsum ook bezig met het opzetten van een jeugdcompetitie om jeugd meer kennis te laten maken met de prachtige sport zaalvoetbal. Hierbij proberen we samen te werken met diverse bedrijven in het dorp.
