Founded in 2004, CGG Office (Community Grower Group Office) is a base of FVMCS for the promotion and support of local organic agriculture in Hong Kong, in collaboration with Agriculture Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD). The establishment of the Office enhances the credibility and market position of local organic agriculture. The Office provides a variety of services such as seedling nursery and sale of agricultural accessories, in order to facilitate the running of local organic farms as well as reduces operating costs. In order to promote the importance of organic farming, CGG Office also conducts varied information on education programmes including guided tours and school consultation services. CGG Office also runs Tai Po Farmers’ Market (TPFM) that provides a stable direct retail point for the communication between farmers and consumers. TPFM set up in Apr 2005, SUN 9am – 5pm . Tuen Mun Farmers’ Market was established in Dec 2009 til Dec 2015. In Jan to Dec 2016 , Tai Po Farmers’ Market opened one more day on weekday (WED 10am – 4pm). All farms whom attending in TPFM have been organic certified. This greatly increases the transparency of organic production process and the confidence of consumers purchase organic produce.
