Der Fachverein Oekonomie ist die offizielle Studierendenvertretung der Wirtschaftswissenschaftlichen Fakultät.
Mit unseren über 60 aktiven Mitgliedern sind wir einer der grössten und engagiertesten Vereine der Universität Zürich. Der Verein setzt sich zusammen aus Wirtschaftsstudierenden der Universität Zürich aller Semester, von der Assessmentstufe bis hin zu Masterstudierenden.
Wir sind das Bindeglied zwischen der Universität und der Studierendenschaft. Zu diesem Zweck betreiben wir Unipolitik in verschiedenen Gremien, gestalten aber auch mit eigenen Vorstössen die Universität aktiv mit.
Wir haben es uns zum Ziel gemacht, die Studierenden der Wirtschaftswissenschaften in verschiedenen Formen zu unterstützen, sei es als studentische Interessenvertreter gegenüber der Universitätsleitung oder als Organisator verschiedenster Events wie des Erstsemestrigentags. Der Studierende steht dabei immer im Mittelpunkt.
Besonders stolz sind wir auf unsere traditionsreiche Zeitschrift, die OecNews (www.oecnews.ch), welche seit über 50 Jahren halbjährlich erscheint. Sie informiert die Studierenden in vielerlei Hinsicht über das universitäre Leben und aktuelle Hintergründe aus der Wirtschaft mit einer Auflage von ca. 5’000 Stück. Die OecNews ist weiter das offizielle Publikationsorgan der OEC ALUMNI UZH
