Garut Kulit was founded in 2014. Back then the focus was to create custom fit jacket to individuals, as oppose to ready made jackets that could be easily found in the markets; the response was positive. Towards the end of the year, we tried to go into the leather sheet market, joining forces with the best factory in Garut and in 2015, we made our first ever export to Kenya, shipping almost 3000 feet of leather sheets. Having gain more popularity, in 2016 we started our B2B approach, whether to office or retails, and at the end of the year, we made more than 20 B2B contracts in Jakarta alone. We also kick start our online campaign through Instagram, Facebook, and also joining Lazada in the same year. 2017 saw Garut Kulit spreading our reach through offline shops, joining bazaars in offices and major shopping malls. We've also been approached by Alibaba group to join them.
Garut Kulit is driven by young, passionate, and energetic team, aiming to bring Garut's already well known leather to a whole different level.
