学生団体GEILは1998年に創設され、1999年第1回を開催以来、関東の大学生を中心に25年間、政策立案コンテストを運営してきた団体です。
我々は政策立案を通して、学生が社会の実態に触れ社会課題について学び、理解しながら議論する「場」を提供しております。
毎年夏には日本最大の政策立案コンテストである「学生のための政策立案コンテスト」を7泊8日の合宿形式で実施しております。
活動理念

『未来構築の人材育成』
1年間の政策テーマに選ばれた社会問題の勉強はもちろん、「学生のための政策立案コンテスト」の円滑な運営を行うための事前準備や、広報活動、渉外の活動など多様な活動を通して、GEIL運営のみならず、コンテスト参加の学生をも巻き込み「未来構築の人材育成」に貢献していると自負しております。
『社会課題解決を考える』
日本社会には未だ顕在化しつつも当事者意識が持たれていない社会問題や社会から関心すら得られていない社会問題があり、その多くが未解決の状態です。
GEILの活動を通じて、日本の大学生が課題解決にチャレンジすることは、新しい日本社会に一石を投じるきっかけになる、その点においてGEILは重要な役目を担っていると考えております。
