De-centralized facilities are commonly located on-site at farm and food processing locations where methane (biogas) from agricultural waste and food processing is used to generate renewable biogas. Common applications commercialize the biogas via green electrical power, while also providing a source of chilled water, hot water or steam to the host facility. Alternative uses of the biogas include renewable compressed natural gas for transportation fleets as well as biomethane injection into the inter/intra state pipeline network.
