Der Fachbereich Geographie zeichnet sich durch seinen interdisziplinären Charakter aus. Im Laufe des Studiums entwickeln und verändern sich die beruflichen Interessen. Diesen Wandel möchten wir begleiten und den Blick für unterschiedliche berufliche Perspektiven schärfen, in denen sich auch ehemalige Geographiestudierende befinden.
Im Rahmen unserer Fachschaftsarbeit treffen wir viele Akteure aus den unterschiedlichsten Branchen. Wir als Fachschaft Geographie und Wirtschaftsgeographie der RWTH Aachen möchten die Gelegenheit nutzen, gemeinsam mit potenziellen Kooperationspartnern und ehemaligen Studierenden Synergien aufzubauen.
Während Unternehmen sich und ihre Projekte präsentieren können, erhalten die Studierenden einen authentischen Einblick in die vielfältigen und spannenden Tätigkeitsfelder unserer Gesellschaft.
Die Fachschaft versteht sich in diesem Zusammenhang als Mittler zwischen Lehre und Praxis für unsere Studierenden.

The Department of Geography is characterized by its interdisciplinary nature. During the course of studies, professional interests develop and change. We would like to accompany this change and sharpen the view for different professional perspectives, in which also former geography students find themselves.
Within the framework of our student representatives work, we meet many players from a wide range of industries. We as the Geography and Economic Geography student council of RWTH Aachen University would like to take the opportunity to build up synergies together with potential cooperation partners and former students.
While companies can present themselves and their projects, students will get an authentic insight into the diverse and exciting fields of activity of our society.
In this context, the student council sees itself as a mediator between teaching and practice for our students.
