GSSA is a registered Club established in 2020 with undergraduate and graduate student members from several different departments. The mission of the Club is to promote and expand interest in Surveying, GIS, Remote Sensing and Cloud Computing within the Technical University of Kenya community, and help members build a portfolio of geospatial skills and knowledge for their future careers.
The regular activities of the club include engaging with other networks for GIS data and mapping needs, conducting research activities with faculty, national GIS day events, organizing seminars and talks, organizing tannings and mapping contests and outdoor fun activities. The Club aims to serve as a platform in TUK to grow a future generation of GIS professionals
