Geriatand is een organisatie die zich sinds 2017 richt op de mondgezondheid van bewoners van verpleeg- en verzorgingshuizen. Om mondzorg voor alle bewoners toegankelijk te houden, bieden wij de mondzorgkundige behandelingen op locatie aan. Hierdoor hoeven bewoners (in de meeste gevallen) de deur niet meer uit voor een behandeling bij de tandarts, tandprotheticus en/of de mondhygiënist. Daarnaast voldoen verpleegtehuizen hiermee aan hun verplichtingen onder de Wlz en is dit een goede aanvulling op de dagelijkse mondzorg van de verpleging. Verder helpen wij de verzorging graag om hun mondzorgkundige kwaliteiten te verbeteren door o.a. mondhygiëne instructies te geven, indien gewenst rapportages in het dossier van de patiënt te noteren en verzorgen wij cursussen/scholingen.
Het mondzorgteam van Geriatand is gespecialiseerd in het uitvoeren van mondzorgkundige behandelingen op locatie bij bewoners van verpleeg- en verzorgingstehuizen. Dit doen wij met een team dat bestaat uit samenwerkende tandartsen, tandprothetici en mondhygiënisten.
