Le Groupement des Etablissements de Travail Protégé et Adapté du Bas-Rhin (GETP 67) a été créé en 1982 avec la volonté de ses membres de se rassembler de façon informelle pour y trouver un lieu d’échanges de pratiques afin de valoriser et promouvoir le secteur du travail protégé représenté par les Centres d’Aide par le Travail (aujourd’hui ESAT).
Depuis, le groupement s’est élargi aux Entreprises Adaptées (EA).
Il rassemble aujourd’hui 41 structures ESAT et EA couvrant plus de 30 secteurs d’activités économiques et employant plus de 2200 Travailleurs Handicapés. Cette dynamique collective à l’œuvre depuis plus de 30 ans, s’est formalisée par la création d’une association de droit local.
Sous cette forme associative, le GETP 67 devient « un nouvel acteur majeur dans le monde du handicap ».
