This service enables anyone that wants to support a charity they care about to do it by giving 10p or 20p when they shop. They get to feel good about helping but won't notice the amount given.
To appreciate our users we have teamed up with retailers and brands to offer them special treats, discounts and offers as a way of saying thank you. On average, most users save £1000 each year in our members club, so by supporting a charity with small amounts, we give back large amounts.
To support a charity, a donor selects a payment card or device from one of our partners, and chooses how much they would like to donate as they shop. Parsnip then works seamlessly in the background, automatically collecting micro-sized donations from each user as they go about their day buying things using their payment card or device. The donation takes place without involving the merchant, which means it works in every shop, instore and online.
To minimise administration for the charities supported by our users, donations are disbursed as a single quarterly payment. As well as the donations, we also provide the information each charity needs to make any relevant Gift Aid claim.
For banks and payment organisations, we are a simple API driven solution that embeds easily into your consumer mobile app. This is how our Parsnip service integrates with the Mclear RingPay.
For retailers and brands, we provide free marketing, brand awareness, and offer distribution.
