Inspired by post-hardcore, metal, and math rock of the last decade, Glass Leaf emerges from the Philadelphia music scene teeming with life during a post-modern era of confusion and ever-expanding polarizations. Glass Leaf seeks to impress, tastefully blending emo style and energetic rhythm to form a newfound form of indie progressive rock. Founded in 2018 by guitarists and vocalists Sean Kimball and Evelyn Bergquist, Glass Leaf has continued to make strides in redefining and evolving its technical ability with the help of Taylor Sweeney as drummer. The meeting of their minds culminated in the release of the Creatures EP the same year - seamlessly integrating guitar-led interludes paired with nostalgic vocal duets echoing the likes of the rock band Comrades with cadences not unlike those of the alternative rock trio Covet. Today, Glass Leaf gears up for the release of a forthcoming single after the drop of the EP, Undertow in 2020 - extending their outreach and sonic vocabulary amid a worldwide pandemic.
