Since childhood, NaTasha, founder of Grief into Hope, has had a passion for helping others. Some of her passions are Social Justice, Health and Wellness, Financial Literacy and Disability advocacy.
NaTasha has a B.A. in Psychology from Cal State Northridge. She is a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist since 2012 and a Dr. Sears Health Coach. She has spent the last 13 years working with disadvantaged youth with emotional, physical, and mental disabilities from New Orleans to Detroit and locally here in California.
In 2007, NaTasha welcomed her daughter Imani Rose into this world. Imani was diagnosed with Holoprosencephaly, a rare brain abnormality with a very poor prognosis only expecting to live 24 hours. NaTasha had no support during this painfully hard time as she faced mental and physical abuse within her marriage. Imani miraculously lived 17 months before transitioning from this life. NaTasha’s marriage ended 2 years later.
NaTasha was left financially devastated, depending on the government assistance to survive. Life can throw so much at you. You may see days of bliss, and then days of pain that feel like they're impossible to escape. NaTasha lived through this, and no matter what, she kept hope.
Now the owner of Grief into Hope for over 10 years, she has been able to inspire encourage and guide others in accomplishing their life goals after experiencing devastating loss.
NaTasha is involved in Diversity Equity and Inclusion Task Force for the nonprofit PathPoint, and has been an advocate for people of color for years. This has been an ongoing fight in her life.
NaTasha strongly believes “You never know what life will give you, but you can find peace in knowing that it is possible to rise above everything that has knocked you down, and live a healthy happy and prosperous life.”
