We are a business development firm specializing in agricultural distribution, reducing poverty, and increasing food security throughout South Carolina. We work with local farmers and small businesses in Persistent Poverty Counties to increase the capacity and reach of their supply chains throughout the state, while increasing nutritious food availability within food deserts. Our products are sourced locally from the areas in which we work. Our Business Model We work with farmers to remove barriers to production and distribution of their yields. These farmers become our “suppliers”, while we work to deliver their produce to new markets throughout South Carolina. Our approach is a threefold process: 1.) Delivering high-quality, SC Grown produce to major cities in South Carolina: including Greenville, Columbia, and Charleston. 2.) Working within impoverished communities and food deserts to provide access to nutritious foods in markets that were previously inaccessible. This is done through creating mobile farmers markets, providing SNAP machines to local vendors, and conducting food drives and food distributions. 3.) Creating partnerships between local businesses and farmers to provide business opportunities for both parties and facilitating buyer–supplier relationships. Through these initiatives, we provide additional income to farmers, support vital industries in rural South Carolina, and improve the diets of those living without access to healthy foods. We work to support local economies by investing any profits that we make (through orders) back into the community. After covering our operating costs, expenses, and paying our famers, we take our remaining revenue and invest in development and beautification projects to make South Carolina’s Persistent Poverty Counties more economically efficient and a better place to live. Our current focus is Allendale County, South Carolina.
