growmingle is a grower’s play on the word commingle. We formed growmingle for one reason: to commingle with our neighbors through the oldest form of social currency (food). The main questions we keep asking ourselves is: what if we could set up a simple way for growers like us to better connect to both our growing and non-growing neighbors with the food we are already have growing? Could we help prevent the waste of excess produce while giving our neighborhood a shot in the arm in terms of everyone having equal access to the freshest, healthiest hyperlocal produce?

There are many moving parts in our current foodweb. On one hand we have supermarkets, so many supermarkets; some have great choices, some do not: they are not all created equal.
On the other hand, we have community supported agriculture. There is no doubt of the critical role these local producers play in our towns and the cohesion they provide to the community. We feel that Austin Texas understands this especially well and they are often the only sources for locally grown produce. We would love for you to easily find the same locally sourced food that you can find at farmer’s markets in real-time.
