Der gemeinnützige Verein “Gut Einern e.V.” ist am 13.9.2021 gegründet worden um als Träger für die vielfältigen gemeinnützigen Angebote rund um das Gesamtprojekt “Gut Einern” zu fungieren. Gut Einern ist ein neues, sozial-ökologisches Projekt im Norden Wuppertals. Die drei Säulen des Vereins sind Umwelt- und Klimaschutz, Forschung und Bildung sowie die Quartiersentwicklung. Der Verein hat sich zur Aufgabe gemacht, durch ein breites Angebot von praxisnahen Workshops und Seminaren Kinder und Jugendliche auf neue innovative Berufsbilder vorzubereiten und Verantwortungs- und Umweltbewusstsein zu stärken und zu fördern. Der Verein betreibt dazu eine moderne Farm, mit ökologischer Landwirtschaft nach Permakulturprinzipien, sowie eine innovative Vertical Farm in einem Überseecontainer. Die Kombination aus traditioneller Landwirtschaft und High-Tech Landwirtschaft eröffnet ebenso neue Möglichkeiten der Aus-und Weiterbildung und Qualifizierung, die durch Kooperationen mit der Agentur für Arbeit und dem Jobcenter Teilnehmern zur Verfügung gestellt wird. Als Bestandteil des Leuchtturmprojektes Gut Einern entstehen z.B. ein Marktplatz, ein Stadtteilcafe, sowie Nahversorgungsmöglichkeiten und ein breites Workshop Angebot. Der Verein spielt eine tragende Rolle bei der Durchführung von Aktionen und Angeboten für das Quartier und der Aktivierung der Bewohner. Er hilft mit seinem Engagement dem Quartier bei der Transformation hin zu einem Klimaquartier.
