Das Leuchtturmprojekt H2BlackForest hat das Ziel, am Standort Campus Schwarzwald Living Labs aufzubauen und eine FuE Plattform zu etablieren. Dies beinhaltet Modellierungs- und Simulationslabore, Versuchsanlagen zur Erprobung von Verfahren sowie zur Realisierung einer intelligenten Wasserstoff-Kreislaufwirtschaft.
Das Verbundvorhaben umfasst zwei Teilprojekte. Im Projekt „ReduCO2“ werden Lösungen für die nachhaltige Entwicklung einer CO2-neutralen Energieversorgung durch die Nutzung von H2 Technologie in der Region Nordschwarzwald geschaffen. Weitere Inhalte sind die strategische und operative Vernetzung von regionaler Wirtschaft, Kommunen und der Wissenschaft, sowie ein Wissenstransfer zu KMUs und die Entwicklung deren Fachkräfte.
Das Projekt "FastPEM" hat die massentaugliche Produktion von Brennstoffzellen im Fokus. Während sich die heutige Forschung und Entwicklung überwiegend auf die Stapelprozesse konzentriert, wird in diesem Projekt die Verspannung, Verdichtung und End-of-Line-Kontrolle der Brennstoffzellenstackfertigung durch Hochgeschwindigkeitsmontage am Campus Schwarzwald verknüpft. So werden die die Produktionskosten dauerhaft gesenkt. Hierbei kommt eine Kombination von hochwertiger Produktionstechnik mit KI und der Digitalisierung im Rahmen von Industrie 4.0 zur Anwendung.
