Founded in 1999, Haier Water Solutions is the world's leading hot water solutions expert. It has five major global brands: Haier, GE Appliances, Fisher&Paykel, AQUA and Candy. It has ten production bases around the world, located in Qingdao, Wuhan, Zhengzhou, Chongqing, the United States, Russia and India. In December 2007, Haier's "Shock Proof" technical proposal was adopted by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and became an international standard. It became the first international standard formulated by a Chinese company in the international water heater industry.
