Wij zijn een klein fonds dat geld inzamelt voor mensen met een beperking. Het geld dat Handicap.nl ophaalt met de landelijke collecteweek in juni gaat naar het Ango fonds. Vanuit dit fonds wordt individuele financiële hulpverlening betaald aan mensen die buiten elke regeling van de Wet maatschappelijke ondersteuning en zorgverzekeraar vallen.
Hulpverlening die hard nodig is om de gehandicapte medemens een volwaardig leven te geven met hun beperking. Eigen regie en niet (altijd) afhankelijk te zijn van anderen. Dit kan met een sta-op stoel of een matras, maar ook met een autoaanpassing zodat iemand weer kan gaan werken en een eigen inkomen kan verdienen. Ook vinden wij het sociale aspect belangrijk en kan men een bijdrage vragen voor de aanschaf van een computer om via het internet contacten te leggen of voor een hobby of (vrijwilligers)werk.
In 2008 heeft het Ango fonds 1235 verzoeken voor individuele hulpverlening gehonoreerd met een bedrag van €734.082,61. De collecteopbrengst dit jaar is €840.000,-.
De vraag voor individuele hulpverlening blijft stijgen gezien de overheid steeds minder betaalt voor de gehandicapten. Daarom is Ango/Handicap.nl nodig!
