In 1900 we were born from the minds of Southland siblings, Helen and John Smith. H&J Smith is a privately owned department store group with stores in Invercargill, Queenstown and Gore.
The Invercargill Department Store is one of the largest stores in NZ and the flagship of our company. Offering a comprehensive range of Ladies’, Men’s and Kids’ Fashion Apparel, Footwear, Cosmetics, Giftware, Homewares and Furniture products, the store holds a distinctive place in the New Zealand marketplace.
