Hands-On Heroes is a certified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring the next generation of builders, makers, and doers by introducing children to careers in the skilled trades. Through our original children’s book series, That Construction Worker Is My Mom-Trades Series, and hands-on STEM activity kits, we spark curiosity, build confidence, and expand representation in construction and trade-related fields. Our mission is to eliminate unconscious bias about “who belongs” in the trades by providing engaging educational tools that reflect diversity, real-world careers, and the power of hands-on learning. Each STEM kit introduces a trade like electrician, carpenter, or heavy equipment operator through interactive activities, collectible badges, and empowering stories.
