happyChaos is een jongeren-denktank die elke week samenkomt om evenementen op te zetten op het snijvlak van actualiteit, cultuur en uitgaan. Zo ontstaan er toffe samenstellingen van politici, wetenschappers en opiniemakers die bekvechten over urgente problemen en maatschappelijk tendensen. Aangevuld met cabaretiers, filmmakers en kunstenaars vol frustraties over de maatschappij. En jongeren uit alle windrichtingen die daarover willen meepraten.
Al sinds de oprichting in 1999 organiseert happyChaos debat voor een jong en breed publiek. Abstracte thema’s als vervreemding, religie en gezag worden daarbij niet geschuwd. Met enige regelmaat wordt bijvoorbeeld de volledige Stadsschouwburg overgenomen voor een inspirerend evenement. Daarnaast worden er jaarlijks meerdere café-avonden georganiseerd, zoals onlangs over de PRISM-Affaire, De Decentralisatie van de Macht en Pedofilie.
happyChaos wordt al jaren gesteund door partners als Vrij Nederland en de Stadsschouwburg Amsterdam en geniet daarnaast van een grote schare trouwe fans. De samenstelling van happyChaos veranderd ook regelmatig maar vertegenwoordigd daardoor altijd jongeren uit alle hoeken van Amsterdam.
