Stichting Hart4Onderzoek is het eerste platform in Nederland dat wetenschappelijk onderzoek op het gebied van (aangeboren) hart- en vaataandoeningen samenbrengt met de patiënt.
Hart4Onderzoek (H4O) is de enige goede doelen stichting die zich vanaf patiëntniveau door middel van crowdfunding acties & fundraising inzet om gelden te genereren voor wetenschappelijk onderzoek naar (aangeboren) hart- en/of vaatafwijkingen bij (jong) volwassenen. De nadruk ligt hierbij op de vraaggerichtheid van met name jonge onderzoekers, kleinschalige onderzoeksprojecten en aanvragen.
Het bestuur van H4O bestaat momenteel uit twee ervaringsdeskundigen, belast met een aangeboren hartaandoening en ouder van een hartekind. Het bestuur wordt ondersteund door een club vrijwilligers.
De stichting pleit om wetenschappelijk onderzoek laagdrempeliger te maken, en een brug te slaan tussen patiënt en arts-onderzoeker.

What does Heart4Research:
Non profit foundation Heart4Research is the first platform in the Netherlands bridging the gap between scientific research of (congenital and genetic) cardiovascular diseases and patients. Our focus lies in applications from young investigators and small scale research projects. Patients and investigators cooperate in innovative medical science and quality of life. Heart4Research is the only patient driven charity to raise (crowd)funding for research of genetic and cardiovascular diseases in adults and adolescents.
We are also participating as patient advocacy to inform organisations and researchers/doctors.
