Eight weeks after our son Hunter was born, we were told he wouldn’t live to see his first birthday.
There was no clear diagnosis. Just a devastating prognosis. But with the incredible support of the Paediatric Palliative Care team at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Adelaide, Hunter lived a life full of love, laughter, and moments that mattered — for nearly 12 beautiful years.
Like so many families walking this path, we experienced the heartbreak of saying goodbye. But from that grief, a new purpose was born.
In honour of Hunter and inspired by the care, dignity and support we received, Jarrod and I started HAS Foundation: a charity dedicated to supporting families of children with life-limiting conditions. We provide practical, emotional and memory-making support, because we know first-hand how important it is to feel held during the hardest times.
Our mission is simple:
To help families live for the moment and love for a lifetime.
