As an Aerospace Technician, I have collaborated and designed a number of systems and innovative tooling solutions for Boeing providing cost benefits to the company through safety by design techniques.
Company and I have gone on to win many awards, including being nominated several years in a row for the Boeing Chairman’s Award and Special Inventors Award, which are the Boeing Company’s highest awards given to an individual or as a team.
I founded HeadTech after years of research into asthma-related problems. This came about after learning that my Co-workers son had chronic Asthma, made worse due to Thunderstorm Asthma and that there were many people worldwide that had this problem. During my research, I learned that there were many other medical conditions that could benefit from wearable technology, including helping the sight-impaired, as well as creating new worldwide systems in which people from all walks of life could benefit.
While I was researching Asthma and other medical conditions and designing a system that would help these conditions another humanitarian problem was announced, ‘SARS-CoV-2’ (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2) or ‘COVID’ the global pandemic for which it’s come to be known as.
While Covid slowed the pace for many companies it did not deter us, as we were determined to solve or aid problems facing humanity in the everyday. We pressed on to design our wearable smart technology to aid the sight-impaired, offer greater protection to asthma sufferers, and a variety of pathogens like the common cold, Flu, and COVID etc, as well as pollution, and other related medical conditions.
Other areas that we, at HeadTech, have been developing within our range of devices, are to improve the language barriers using audio language translation in real-time, as well as new types of photography, scanning and shopping systems, new interactive immersed XR/AR/VR gaming, and systems that let people interact better between each other.
