Met 700 bedrijven in high-tech instrumentatie is Zuid-Holland economisch gezien de tweede high-tech regio in Nederland, na Zuid-Oost-Brabant.
Er is volop ruimte voor groei voor deze instrumentatie-industrie, die actief is in de medische en klinische wereld, ruimtevaart en wetenschap, laboratoria en procesindustrie, maritime & offshore en in agro/food. Maar de samenwerking onderling en met de kennisketen, die ook sterk in de regio aanwezig is, kan beter.
Daarom is oktober 2012 Holland Instrumentation opgericht, een verband van bedrijven en instellingen uit Zuid-Holland. Deze stichting wil meer bedrijvigheid in hoogwaardige instrumentatie ontwikkelen in de
regio, door spin-offs en nieuwe producten vanuit bestaande, succesvolle, bedrijven. De ambitie is een verdubbeling in 2030 van omzet en export.
Dat willen we bereiken door:
— Het uitbouwen van een sterk ecosysteem van industrie, kennisinstellingen, overheden en investeerders.
— Het stimuleren van ondernemerschap, door gebruik te maken van elkaars ondernemerschap en door jonge mensen daarin te stimuleren en trainen.
— Het versterken van de industriële keten van OEM-ers, toeleveranciers en maakindustrie.
— Het samen ontwikkelen en inzetten van baanbrekende technologie door bedrijven en kennisinstellingen.
— Het stimuleren van export, in nauwe samenwerking met de ROM.
