Hjernerådet arbeider for god hjernehelse i befolkningen. Over 30 prosent får en hjernesykdom i løpet av livet. Vårt formål er å arbeide for bedre hjernehelse for hele befolkningen gjennom forskning, forebygging, behandling og oppfølging.
Hjernerådet samler over 70 brukerorganisasjoner, fag- og forskningsmiljø som jobber med hjernen og hjernesykdom. Våre brukerorganisasjoner har samlet ca. 150 000 enkeltpersoner som medlemmer. De representerer pasientgrupper som er 4-5 ganger større. Våre fagmedlemmer har knyttet til seg ca. 5000 fagpersoner med ulik kompetanse om hjernen.
I Hjernerådet har medlemmene gått sammen for å gjøre en bedre innsats for alle dem som rammes av hjernesykdommer og deres pårørende. Vårt mål er at flere skal ha god hjernehelse.
