In March of 2011 I moved to Texas with no place to call home. We had friends that let us stay in their guest room while I found a job. Through many difficult situations including a drug addiction, alcoholism, anger, insecurity, depression, suicidal thoughts...etc I eventually surrendered my life to Jesus Christ. Today I am sober...as for tomorrow...I leave that in God's hands, but by His Grace I have remained sober (One Day at a Time) for years now! This Page is essentially my journal. Once it was kept secret, but then I thought about publishing it. Then when the negative voice in my head said "don't put yourself out there. Who do you think you are. You are nothing." Well, I answered that voice by stepping out of comfort and straight into the UN-comfortable! I say this, "I am vulnerable and free. I am a child of the one true king! I am the Gospel!" NOW...I am a Home Builder (Salcedo Custom Homes) and more importantly...God is teaching me to lead at Home!! I have a Beautiful and Smart wife (Sarah) who is stronger than I am. She saved my life when she said she would leave me if I didn't figure this out! I thank God every day that he gave me a wife that loved me enough to leave me in order to save me life!! God has Graced me with 3 awesome kids!! I am truly blessed!!
