🏀 Van speler naar coach – met een missie voor basketbal in Rotterdam
Basketbal is mij met de paplepel ingegoten – ik speel al sinds mijn tiende. Door de jaren heen heb ik op verschillende niveaus gespeeld, binnen én buiten Rotterdam.
De laatste jaren geef ik met veel plezier training aan verschillende teams in de stad. Het is geweldig om mijn kennis te delen en spelers te zien groeien. Maar ik zie ook de keerzijde: steeds meer jongeren willen basketballen, maar belanden op een lange wachtlijst. Dat moet anders.
Met HoopDreams wil ik zaalbasketbal toegankelijk maken voor álle Rotterdammers – zonder drempels of wachttijden.
Want basketbal is meer dan een sport. Het leert je samenwerken, doorzetten, communiceren. En soms opent het zelfs deuren die voorheen gesloten bleven.
Als coach ben ik verantwoordelijk voor de ontwikkeling van spelers – op én naast het veld. Juist die combinatie van sport en life skills maakt het zo waardevol.
