Créée à Lyon en 2005, l’Association HORIZON PARRAINAGE (loi 1901) vise au développement du parrainage de proximité bénévole auprès d’enfants et d’adolescents dans le Rhône et la métropole de LYON.
Le parrainage de proximité, c’est donner un peu de son temps et vivre des moments simples et chaleureux avec un enfant qui vit dans un environnement socio-affectif fragilisé.
À la différence d’une famille d’accueil ou d’adoption, les parrains et marraines sont des personnes de la société civile qui s’engagent régulièrement auprès d’un enfant.
Le parrainage de proximité n’offre pas un « lien de plus » mais rend possible une relation d’attachement choisie, confiante et durable qui participe de l’épanouissement de l’enfant.
