As of January 2019 Housing Solutions For Hope became an official Guild of Seattle Children’s. Seattle Children’s Guild Association is the largest all-volunteer fundraising network for any hospital in the nation raising funds for uncompensated care, research, and other hospital programs. We are proud to partner with the Seattle Children’s Guild Association with donations benefiting the Patient Housing Assistance Fund.
We aim to deliver safe, readily-available housing solutions for patient families in greatest need at Seattle Children’s in order to improve health care outcomes while supporting hope, care and cures.
By leveraging corporate shared value, grants and philanthropic community support, we will maximize impact for patient families through trusted partnerships with commercial and community-based organizations facilitated by our values-driven guild members.
We aim to create a trustworthy funding source that is sustainable and grows responsibly to meet specific objectives of the Housing Solutions for Hope Guild.
Our founders started Housing Solutions for Hope because they were drawn to the mission of providing hope for families in need. A child may be the one who is sick but the whole family likely needs healing – having a home can help give that hope.
This work also supports the mission of Seattle Children’s: We provide hope, care and cures to help every child live the healthiest and most fulfilling life possible. This includes having a home.
To help, we plan to develop a range of solutions from single family to multi-family homes for patient families to use, as examples.
Giving back is very important to our founding members. By starting a guild that can create a funding source for housing solutions, we can provide hope for the patient families Children’s serves.
