Nutristo is a web site which helps people with limited diet, to easily find food products they can safely consume. Typical Nutristo users are people with food allergies and intolerances, vegans and vegetarians, Muslims and Jews, and everybody else who has to or wants to avoid certain ingredients. All these people have one common problem - when they shop for food they have to carefully read food labels and make sure that the product doesn’t contain any ingredients that could harm them. This is often troublesome and long process because labels often contain multiple translations, they are written with a small font and they are hard to read.. Nutristo solves this problem with a database with detailed info about food products, including ingredients and allergens. On top of that, we have predefined diet profiles for some typical diets and one custom diet profile where you can make your own custom list of ingredients you want to avoid. This allows our users to log in, set their diet preferences and get products from the database they can safely consume.
