Hi, I'm Shingo Ikawa for representative of Wagwac Corporation. I was born on August 28, 1978 in Chiba Prefecture and now the father of three children (daughter and twin sons). After graduating from the Tsukuba University where I am major in International Relations, I joined SMC Corporation, the world's top manufacturer of pneumatic equipment. While working, attended a business school for business person at Chuo University and earned an MBA in March 2014. For 16 years until 2018, I gained experience in international taxation (especially transfer pricing) at SMC and contributed to corporate tax savings for multinational companies (leaved SMC in July 2018). Also, in the charge of international taxation, we face the reality that many companies are paying much tariff. As a help to solve this problem, we have released “HS CODER”, a service by learning programming by yourself. The service allows you to easily search for HS codes and tariff rates. I established WagWac Corp. in October 2018 with the aim of further expanding this service. The first step in reducing tariffs is to understand the HS codes of products and parts handled by your company. “HS CODER” which was developed by us allows you to easily check HS codes and tariff rates for free. In addition, a consulting service for reducing tariffs has being implemented. Issuance of specific certificate of origin is indispensable for the application of preferential tariff rates using the Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) and Free Trade Agreement (FTA), but the proof of originality of export products requires the most expert knowledge.
