De Haven- en Scheepvaart Vereniging (HSV) Den Helder is een vereniging die zich ten doel stelt functionarissen uit het bedrijfsleven en de overheid, die - direct of indirect - belang hebben en/of betrokken zijn bij het gebruik, de ontwikkeling en de verbetering van het havengebeuren in Den Helder bij elkaar te brengen.
Zij tracht dit doel te bereiken langs wettige weg door:
- het houden van driemaandelijkse bijeenkomsten;
- het periodiek houden van lezingen of discussiebijeenkomsten;
- het organiseren van incidentele activiteiten met als doel de onderlinge band der leden te versterken;
- het verruimen van inzicht en het verstrekken van informatie aan de leden onderling, zowel met
betrekking tot hun beroep als zakelijk en persoonlijk in de ruimste zin van het woord;
- het leggen en onderhouden van externe contacten;
- het geven van adviezen - gevraagd en ongevraagd - aan bevoegde instanties;
- het promoten van de haven van Den Helder - al dan niet - in samenwerking met anderen;
alle andere wettige middelen die het doel kunnen bevorderen.
- het assisteren van de leden bij ontwikkelingen welke betrekking hebben op de overheid
Leden kunnen zijn:
Personen die in een leidinggevende functie of door hun beroep op enigerlei wijze met offshore of scheepvaart in Den Helder zijn verbonden, belangstellen in het doel der vereniging en door het bestuur als zodanig worden aangenomen.
Alle rechtspersonen welke een scheepvaartbedrijf of een ander nauw met offshore, scheepvaart of de haven van Den Helder verbonden bedrijf uitoefenen. W.o. ook een V.O.F. of een C.V.
