Humedica e.V. mit Hauptsitz in Kaufbeuren (Bayern) ist eine internationale Nichtregierungsorganisation, die seit ihrer Gründung im Jahr 1979 in über 90 Ländern unserer Erde humanitäre Hilfe leistete. Ziel der Arbeit von humedica ist es, Menschen zu helfen, die durch Katastrophen oder strukturelle Armut in Not geraten sind.
Neben dem Schwerpunkt auf medizinischer Not- und Katastrophenhilfe, engagiert sich humedica auch im Bereich der Versorgungshilfe sowie in langfristigen Projekten der Entwicklungszusammenarbeit. Möglich wird diese Arbeit durch die Unterstützung ehrenamtlicher Einsatzkräfte und Helfer, sowie lokaler Partnerorganisationen und Mitarbeiter in den einzelnen Projektländern.
Der sorgfältige und verantwortungsvolle Umgang mit Spendengeldern wird seit 2008 jährlich durch die Auszeichnung mit dem DZI-Spendensiegel bestätigt.
