Home Warranty Assurance Australia Limited (also known as “H W Assurance Australia Limited” trading as “HWAA”) will be one of the first public (unlisted) companies outside iCare to offer Home Building Compensation Cover.
At HWAA we believe in cutting red tape, removing the run around between you, your broker and iCare. No more Corporate Scorecards that make machine-based ANTA decisions dictating the future fortunes of your business and no more waiting weeks before a decision is made.
HWAA was formed with a group of builders within its centre backed by a number of underwriters of Private Capital direct from capital markets in Australia. The initiative was born in response to the NSW Government’s call for a modern, fit for purpose Home Warranty Scheme for NSW builders and home owners. The government has recognised the need to reform the current monopoly scheme which has existed since 2010. This scheme is now financially unsustainable and is creating an unnecessary burden on NSW taxpayers. NSW home owners have seen too little return from the current scheme for too long.
HWAA is responding to this need with a positive effective solution that will benefit the NSW community.
