The Young Professionals Exhibition & Competition (YPEC), previously named as the Younger Members Exhibition and Conference (YMEC), is an annual event organised by the Younger Members Section of The IET Hong Kong. The aim of the competition is to provide a platform for students and young engineers to present their engineering projects and ideas. YPEC covers a wide range of technical and engineering aspects which the IET concerns.
In previous years, over 350 teams from five sections (Open Section, Postgraduate Section, Undergraduate Section, Sub-Degree Section and Secondary School Section) shared their projects and innovative ideas with the public. More than 2,600 participants have joined us in the booth exhibition and presentation sessions.
Choosing “Propagation” as its theme, the YPEC 2022 envisions our young professionals to propagate innovative ideas and act as influencers in our society. From contemporary inventions to applications, we wish the beauty of engineering can be propagated to our young generation. We hope our participants will enjoy the amusement of engineering exploration, feel the excitement of presentation and embrace the enthusiasm of exhibitions. We believe that the power of propagation will guide the development of our society and promote the establishment of a more innovative world.
