Key Projects: CUSTOMER: leading NEM. PURPOSE: customer requested to use both Spirent and Ixia as traffic generators, to reduce total COGS. PRODUCT/SYSTEM/TOOL: designed and developed a unique tool to convert Spirent configurations to Ixia and vise-versa. END RESULT: Spirent decided to acquire the tool for their own use after its successful implementation. __________________________ CUSTOMER: worldwide customers. PURPOSE: design and develop APIs that will provide easy access to different traffic generators over REST, Tcl and CLI, allowing the tester to concentrate on the test logic rather than the traffic generator API. PRODUCT/SYSTEM/TOOL: designed and developed, and currently maintaining open-source object-oriented APIs to all major (and some minor) traffic generators. END RESULT: a complete collection of Java, Python, TestShell and TestShell packages for STC, Ixia, Xena and TRex traffic generators. PURPOSE: replace an old (JSystem) testing infrastructure with a modern one. PRODUCT/SYSTEM/TOOL: shifted the automation team from Java to Python to build a test automation framework and test scripts. Worked closely with the QA manager and VP R&D. The framework was developed from scratch, using Python and pytest. END RESULT: the new system is now operational, and the company is planning to replace more systems with the new one. __________________________ CUSTOMER: cyber security start-up. PURPOSE: build an OS-agnostic test infrastructure. PRODUCT/SYSTEM/TOOL: recruited, built and led a team of infrastructure engineers to build the first release of the product – from zero.
