The IITAIIC is spread over a covered area of 20,000 sq. ft, besides an open terrace of 10,000 sq. ft, overlooking the luscious greens of South Chennai and the Bay of Bengal. It is located in the IIT Madras Research Park on OMR convenient to reach from the city. The facilities include a members’ lounge, fine dining/banquet hall, lounge bar, café, meeting and conference rooms, children's room and a library, executive suite rooms and a multipurpose hall which will include a pool table and table tennis table.
Members will have opportunities to connect with one another, engage in the various activities and give back to the younger generations and the industry.
The Alumni Industry Interaction Center has among its current members, a diverse and vibrant network of alumni from the IITs across India. The IIT alumni and faculty have shared interests embodied with the values and knowledge learned at the IITs. Through the Alumni Industry Interaction Center, the alumni, industry representative and professionals will combine their time, talent and outreach efforts to transform, inspire, and add value to education and industry in the Chennai area.
The Center seeks to build upon the talents of its individual members, institutional members, resident cororates of the IIT Madras Research Park and professionals to develop a vibrant community that is engaged and committed to contributing to the development of educational institutes and industry in Chennai.
The Center will have world class facilities to enable value creation through meaningful networking among the individual members; research assistants and faculty of IIT Madras; professionals from fields of art and technology and leaders from the corporate world.
Membership of the Center is open to alumni and faculty from all the IITs across India; and by invitation to corporates and professionals from different fields.
